STRATEGIC CHANGE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AT MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF KIAMBU

The aim of this paper was to assess the strategic change management practices at the municipal council of Kiambu. Case study research design was used. The employees at the municipal council of Kiambu were the target population. Personal interviews using an interview guide were used to obtain the data for the study. The study revealed that the council had undertaken both structural and strategic changes. Both changes were necessary in order to for the council to be efficient and effective in service delivery and bring about transparency and accountability in running the affairs of the council.

THE EFFECT OF LANDSCAPING ON HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT IN HOUSING ESTATE, JOS NIGERIA

The study examined the effect of landscaping on health and environment in housing estate, Jos Nigeria. The paper is more descriptive and has the objective of finding out the level of awareness by the tenants’ on landscaping and its impact on health and the environment. Simple random sampling technique was used and a total of 135 questionnaires were distributed to tenants’. Only 125 of the questionnaires were retrieved representing 92.59%, 7 not clearly filled and 3 was not retrieved.

The main thrust of this paper is to evaluate the status of pocket parks and their impact in Jos, metropolis consisting of three Local Government Areas in the North-Central geopolitical zone of Nigeria.Field surveys by questionnaire and interviews were the main tools of data collection while Secondary data were collected from relevant literatures.

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF PERCEPTION OF HUMAN RESOURCES UTILIZATION IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS IN SOUTH-SOUTH NIGERIA

The population of the study consisted of 3054 principal officers, unit heads and senior registry staff in tertiary institutions in South-South Nigeria. A sample size comprised of 336 principal officers, unit heads and senior registry staff was selected through the proportionate sampling technique. Instrument for data collection was a questionnaire structured on a 5-point rating scale and containing 20 items in two clusters.
