In Sierra Leone, the enrollment of girls in schools has always been lower than that of their male counterparts. In the recent years, semi-arid areas in Kenya such as Elgeyo-Marakwet have persistently faced the challenge of severe food insecurity. This paper thus investigated the role of traditional knowledge in food security among the Marakwet in Arror Ward. EVALUATION OF PRODUCTIVE TRAITS OF NIGERIAN HEAVY LOCAL CHICKEN ECOTYPE SELECTED FOR SIX GENERATIONS THROUGH SELECTION INDEX
A multiple selection programme was designed and carried out to further determine the genetic response of productive traits of the Nigerian heavy local chicken ecotype (NHLCE) using selection index from fourth to sixth generations.
