NON-DEREGULATION OF THE DISTRIBUTION SEGMENT OF THE POWER INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA AND SUSTAINABLE SERVICE DELIVERY BY THE IKEJA ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION COMPANY: TOWARDS A COMPETITIVE ELECTRICITY INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA

There are 11 companies operating in the country each with an allotted operational zone. The objective of the study was to establish that the non-deregulation of the of the Nigeria electricity power industry significantly affects the ability of the Ikeja Electricity Company to deliver sustained power supply to consumers. The sample size was 377 calculated using Raosoft sample size calculator. Out of the 377 copies of the questionnaire administered, 315 were returned fully completed representing a response rate of 83.55%.The analysis of data was done with Z test.

ASSESSMENT OF INTRA-ETHNIC CONFLICT CAUSES AMONG THE SABAOT OF MT. ELGON, KENYA, 1970-2008

The Study sought to research about the historical development of intra ethnic conflict among the Sabaot of Mt. Elgon Sub-county in Kenya. The study dealt with Sabaot community because it is a major community in Mt. Elgon Sub County with many clans. The year 1970 is important because this was when animosity and tension surfaced after allocation of Chebyuk I resettlement scheme and 2008 was the period when government intervened by deploying Kenya Defense Force. There is insufficient research on recurring intra-ethnic conflict between the Soy and Mosop of the Sabaot hence there was need to be re-examined. The study employed two theories primodalism theory that stipulates conflict springs from differences in ethnic identities. Constructivist theory that argues that colonial state structured pattern of society, Identity formation in society.

EVALUATION OF RUMEN FERMENTATION PERFORMANCE AND CHARACTERISTIC IN LOCAL DOMESTIC GOAT FED WITH WHITE TEAK LEAF (GMELINA ARBOREA) OR CORNCOB-BASED COMPLETE FEED

The purpose of this study is to analyze fermentation characteristic and production performance on local domestic goat fed with white teak or corncob-based complete feed (Gmelina arborea). 10 domestic goats with age mean of 1 year were divided randomly into two groups (5 goats for each group). Each group will be provided with different treatment of complete feed including (R1) white teak leaf-based complete feed or corncob-based complete feed (R2). Feeding was performed for 2 months. Measured parameter of this experiment was rumen fermentation characteristic encompassing pH, NH3 content, and VFA content in rumen.

No sample was taken as the number was deemed manageable by the researchers. A 10-item structured validated questionnaire was used for data collection.

The research applied GIS technology to classify and evaluate successfully transformed agricultural cooperatives according to the Vietnam Cooperative Law in 2012.
